Fairchild Imaging, headquartered in San Jose, California is a specialty image sensor design and manufacturing company with deep experience in developing leading edge performance CMOS image sensors. Silicon Process Integration Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring Fairchild Imaging maintain its excellence in CMOS Image sensor manufacturing by delivering the best silicon performance from our foundry partners. Your role is to 'own the foundry'. This role coordinates with customers, understands their needs, and collaborates with various engineering units within the fabs to ensure product quality.
Duties Include:
- Work with external Foundry Process Development Integration teams to release new designs to manufacturing,
- Optimize silicon yield and performance targets for released designs
- Perform Yield and Failure Analysis to determine root cause of poor silicon performance or yield
- Process Optimization and Trouble Shooting to implement process improvements
- Cross Functional Collaboration with design, wafer foundry and manufacturing teams
- Documentation and Process Control for process release to manufacturing
- Travel to Foundry partners (up to 10%) in the Asia region
Education and work experience
- MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role
- Hands on Silicon wafer processing module engineering: Diffusion, Implantation, Photolithography, Thin Film
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, CMOS image sensor experience required
- Design parametric structures for process monitoring.
- Product Engineering by applying Design of Experiment for product performance optimization and yield enhancement
- Knowledge of device/product testing parameters and data analysis
- Data acquisition and management for yield analysis
- Hands on testing and inspection for device quality and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with wafer foundry partners for documentation of processing flow;
- Collaborate with test engineering for documentation of testing flow and manufacturing engineering for documentation of assembly flow
This position is Hybrid, which requires a blend of onsite and a remote working schedule.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
