Exciting opportunity to join state of the art multi-disciplinary team at Wellness Circle Crisis Stabilization Unit, a 16 bed, short-term residential crisis stabilization unit that serves individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities who are in psychiatric crisis. Services include crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, case management, medication management, social and medical detoxification and linking individuals to ongoing behavioral health, substance use or co-occurring services. Provides direct nursing services including but not limited to, medical / nursing assessments, medication administration, addressing acute medical issues and referring individuals to area hospitals and clinics. Monitors the detoxification process and intervenes as necessary per medical protocols. Trains and educates multidisciplinary staff and individuals being served about medical issues. Responsible for program intakes, assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family treatment and providing crisis intervention / crisis stabilization services under clinical supervision. This position involves shift work, including awake overnights and weekends. This position is designated as Emergency Services Personnel.
Position may be underfilled as a BHN Clinician / Case Manager in Residence; the underfill requirements are stated below in the Employment Standards section.

- The BHN Clinician / Case Manager position includes a signing bonus for new merit county employees in the amount of $10,000 (full-time).
The population of Fairfax County is very diverse where 38.7% of residents speak a language other than English at home (Spanish, Asian / Pacific Islander, Indo-European, and others) and CSB recognizes that staff competence speaking a variety of languages is necessary to meet client needs. We encourage candidate's bilingual in English and a foreign language to apply. A foreign language skills stipend of up to $1,300 / year (full-time) may be given for qualified bi-lingual employees.
The CSB provides clinical supervision for employees who are registered as licensed eligible mental health in one of the following areas : Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
In addition, to recognize and reinforce the importance of professional development and enhance future recruitment of licensed professionals, if approved, the licensure supervisors will receive a stipend of $1,500 paid out biweekly over a 12-month period whether for one or more Department of Health licensure candidates.
License / Certification Reimbursement - Reimbursement for job related licenses and / or certifications once per year.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in nursing; plus two years of post-licensure experience as a nurse.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSURES REQUIRED :
Valid driver's license
MANDT (within 3 months of hire)
CPR / First Aid (within 3 months of hire)
Qualified Mental Health Professional - Adult (QMHP-A) (within 6 months of hire)
UNDERFILL REQUIREMENTS :
This vacancy may be underfilled at the level of BHN Clinician / Case Manager in Residence (S27, $77,640.16 - $129,399.50). The employment standards for the BHN Clinician / Case Manager in Residence is :

Upon completion of an underfill agreement (which will require that the employee meet the employment standards stated above in addition to obtaining competencies and licensures defined by the hiring agency) the employee will be elevated to the level of BHN Clinician / Case Manager.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency / essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and / or other emergencies.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Currently certified as Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A) by the Commonwealth Board of Counseling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., provide care / assistance, including physically assisting large adults in activities of daily living; sit; walk; stand; bend; climb stairs. Ability to provide medical supervision and services to sick residents; read / write notes in electronic health record & chart; communicate in person / on phone; and observe client behavior and appearance. Ability to transport clients and supplies in agency vehicle. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
