Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
- Four (4) years of experience in information technology systems and equipment (electronic, electrical, and mechanical), two (2) years of which shall have been in a leadership role.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
- May be required to perform shift work, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume a stand-by status.
- Knowledge of a broad array of procedures, practices, tools, test devices, and equipment involved in the operation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and repair of information technology systems and equipment (electronic, electrical, and mechanical).
- Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
- Ability to read, interpret and explain instructions, diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer's manuals.
- Ability to keep records and make reports using desktop administrative software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Advanced training in electronics and/or data communications.
