Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
- Four (4) years of experience in the commercial roofing trade, three (3) years of which shall have been in a supervisory or lead role involving review, inspection, and project modification activities.
- Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
- May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis.
- Knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, and procedures used in the construction, modification, or maintenance of roofing systems of buildings, schools, and related structures.
- Knowledge of the general construction field and one or more of the trades involved in the building construction projects.
- Knowledge of related drawings, general construction surveying, and cost estimating.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and regulations, and recognize deviations from such requirements.
- Ability to interface effectively with contractors, architects, craftsmen, and the general public.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and to prepare complete and concise written reports.
