Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Accurately process medication orders and ensure proper labeling and packaging of pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies, conducting regular checks for expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to support medication administration protocols.
- Document all medication-related activities accurately in compliance with state/federal policies and regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with pharmacy practices and advancements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and critical care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with insurance troubleshooting is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
- State licensure as a Pharmacy Technician is required; and can be trained onsite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
