What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vascular Navigator position at Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC?
This is a full-time benefitted position located at our Fairfax Vascular Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Who you are:
As a Patient Navigator, you understand that you play a critical role in communications with our patients, referring physician offices and insurances companies,. Your impact on patient care is significant, as you enhance the overall patient experience by ensuring accurate scheduling, handling pre-certifications, and coordinating communication between patients, physicians, and insurance companies,
- The Navigator communicates with patients, referring physician offices, insurance companies and FRC/FVC staff to get patients accurately scheduled and performs pre-certification/pre-authorization when needed.
- Accept incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous, engaging, level-headed manner with minimal caller wait time, from patients and referring physicians and their staff to schedule consults, procedures and coordinate precertification requirements.
- Thoroughly and accurately complete the scheduling, preregistration and notes fields in the system with all required patient demographic, insurance, precertification and referring physician information.
- Communicate with patients, referring physician offices and medical insurance companies to gather pertinent patient history and clinical information to be used to obtain a timely pre-certification/pre-authorization for procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to remain professional and composed during all communications.
- Ability to calmly and effectively multi-task.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
