What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER INTERN- Lead and Copper Aide position at Fairfax Water?
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, Lead and Copper Rule (LCR), the LCR Program Aide provides support to Fairfax Water’s LCR Program and related compliance activities. The LCR Program Aide is responsible for assisting with service line inventory development and maintenance, historical records review, customer communications, and various other duties as assigned, and will receive hands-on experience with Fairfax Water’s distribution system and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Reviews historical records and other distribution system information to help identify service lines materials.
- Assists the LCR Program Supervisor and Technician with customer inquiries and other customer communication efforts.
- Assists with compiling and entering data and other information for compliance reporting.
- Supports the other members of the LCR team, Fairfax Water field staff, and outside consultants in their service line identification efforts.
- Position Hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Ability to keep records and make reports.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Experience using EXCEL, Word, and other general office software.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Enrolled as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming
fall to qualify for the program.
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
