What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER INTERN - OT Network Aide position at Fairfax Water?
Under the supervision of Operational Technologies(OT) Manager, the OT-Network Aide provides technical support to the Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) group. The OT-Network Aide is responsible for assisting with the review and/or development of system documentation, inspecting/installing/maintaining networking & computing equipment, maintain/update computer workstations, and various other duties as assigned. In return, the OT-Network Aide will receive hands-on exposure to the inner workings of an instrumentation & controls department in an operational technologies environment.
- Review/Develop System documentation
- Install/Inspect/Maintain Networking & Computing equipment
- Maintain/Update computer workstations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Working knowledge of Windows 10
- Basic understanding of computers and networking
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Enrolled as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming fall to qualify for the program.
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
