What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER INTERN - Planning Engineer Aide position at Fairfax Water?
Under the supervision of Manager of Planning, the Planning Engineer Aide provides technical support to the Planning team. The Planning Engineer Aide is responsible for assisting with duties related to water system and water supply planning, and various other duties as assigned. In return, the Planning Engineer Aide will receive hands-on exposure to the inner workings of a Planning department.
- Researching documents, land records and as-builts relating to water facilities.
- Preparing schematics and other graphical representations of water facilities
- Assisting with the review of development plans to determine connection points, preliminary alignments, and requirements for water service to proposed developments
- Researching, compiling, and formatting information related to water mains, facilities, property records and easements
