This Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor position is for a limited service hotel in Port Clinton, Ohio. This Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper and hotel management in overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience. Specifically, the Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest of company and brand standards:
- Assist in running all housekeeping operations
- Train and onboard new housekeepers
- Assist in Coaching housekeeping staff
- Operate within departmental budgets through well managed schedules
- Ensures housekeeping department abides by all brand standards
- In the absence of Executive Housekeeper, Inspects guest rooms for cleanliness and adherence to brand and company standards
- Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Provide excellent guest service in all guest interactions
- Assist Hotel Management in other tasks as necessary
- Perform all normal housekeeper duties (below)
- Replacing used towels and linens with fresh items
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and be self-motivated, working with and without direct supervision
- Must dress in accordance company policy, being clean and professional at all times
- Keep manager fully informed of all problems and take timely corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
- Vacuuming carpets and dusting and polishing furniture
- Sanitizing bathrooms and restocking guest amenities
- Eagerly responding to guest needs in a friendly, efficient manner
- Maintaining property common areas
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Duties and responsibilities:
- Must be courteous to all guests and team members
- Complete all housekeeping / room attendant duties as needed
Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience in a hotel environment
- Ability to work weekends and holidays a must
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in high pressure situations
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to respond to a range of different work situations
- A passion for Hospitality
- Ability to lift and carry 40lbs
