What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Outdoor Wellness Coordinator position at Fairfield Center School?
Fairfield Center School is looking to fill a part-time Outdoor Wellness Coordinator position.
Performance responsibilities: • Support teachers in integrating agriculture, town structure and community organizations into the school curricula through the existing time-tested programs and units supported by the school. • Work with school staff and Administration to establish a school wide Capstone/Cooperative; Program linking students to school’s location structure, community organizations, farms, farmers and businesses. • Create a network of community members for each Outdoor Classroom program and unit. The community members would serve as mentors for the students and staff both at the Outdoor Classroom and at their farms and businesses • Host seasonal celebrations related to farm and community use of the Outdoor Classroom. • Document and communicate Outdoor Programs through student and community generated media and web postings.
Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Previous experience working with children is required.
