What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Utility/Inspector position at Fairfield Chair Company?
Overview:
The Warehouse Utility Inspector is responsible for the inspection of 10% of the product received at Plant 3. Categorizing if a piece needs to be repaired and sent to the correct location to do so. Help with inventory of the warehouse, receiving goods, and distribution of exiting goods.
Responsibilities
- Will perform inspection of 10% of products for quality, defects, appearance, finishes and operation from specification or by visual comparison methods.
- Open product and assemble for Supervisor to take photos, dissemble after.
- This will include unpacking and repacking products after inspection.
- Will use specifications to disposition product in AS400.
- Read tickets to ensure product matches what information has been ordered by the customer.
- Need to have knowledge of multiple types of finishes
- Complete reject tag for all non-compliance units.
- Provide manager and supervisors feedback on the status of non-compliant units.
- Must have knowledge of fit and function of product.
- Ability to consistently meet high quality/quantity performance standard.
- Help with loading and unloading of shipping containers
- Check inventory
