What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute EL Tutor - Compass Elementary School position at Fairfield City School District?
EL Tutor- Long Term Substitute: Fairfield Compass Elementary School (1/21/25-3/7/25)
The teacher will be assigned to work with English Learners (EL’s). Candidates must have experience with (or be willing to receive training in) language acquisition and methods for teaching the English language. EL tutor will work closely with EL teacher and classroom teachers to provide language support, assist in identifying and scheduling students for services and assist the classroom teacher with parent communication. Being bi-lingual is desirable.
Applicants that are offered a teaching position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
