BEHAVIOR Analyst

Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst/valid license to practice in Ohio (Preferred)
- Three years experience working with children/adolescents with a variety of psychiatric and/or behavioral disorders, including those on the autism spectrum.
Job Goals:
- As a member of the educational team, collaborate with educators to diagnose and develop behavioral interventions for students to effect positive behavioral changes
- Provide continuous support to the overall educational environment by utilizing Positive Peer Culture strategies in order to address student behaviors
- Performance Responsibilities:
- Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of behavioral needs of students with and without disabilities.
- Conducts functional behavioral assessments and designs, implements and monitors behavior intervention plans.
- Understands State and Federal regulations relative to behavioral requirements and students with disabilities.
- Develops crisis intervention plans when needed.
- Serves as the liaison between students receiving special education services and outside providers, private psychiatrists, psychologists and community agencies.
- Follows students in alternative placements for behavioral interventions; facilitates transition during referral and reintegration phases.
- Serves as a member of the IEP team for students with behavioral concerns.
- Prepares written reports as needed by district to outside psychiatric professionals/community agencies re: behavioral concerns of identified special education students.
- Consults with school staff working with students with behavioral needs on behavior management techniques and information on specific student needs.
- Supervises RBTs
- Provides consultation to parents re: child development, behavior management techniques.
- Conducts professional development on behavior management, progress monitoring, data collection techniques, social skills or other targeted classroom needs.
- Familiarizes self with most recent research/practice in applied behavior analysis.
- Provides social skill lessons and materials to teachers, student groups or individual students as needed.
- Designs, implements and monitors behavior programs for students.
- Oversees the implementation of behavior programs by others.
- Conducts experimental evaluations of interventions.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
