Compensation

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitate students in online course(s) and face-to-face courses; May facilitate more than one course at any given time with students from multiple Fairfield County school districts
- Facilitate, modify and deliver lessons aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards
- Use asynchronous and synchronous technologies as required to meet student needs
- Regularly gather and use data from a variety of sources, including IEP’s, diagnostic, formative and summative assessments to adjust/modify online course(s) as needed
- Adapt instructional methods and/or online course materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Ongoing supportive communication to foster positive teacher-student relationships
- Maintain records in an efficient and timely manner
- Monitor student activity and progression in each course and ensure students are on pace for successful course completion;
- Collaborate with student, parent and school principal to intervene with students at risk of not being successful in the online course(s)
- Provide timely and specific feedback to encourage academic growth
- Grade student assignments and assessments
- Maintain open communication with students, parents/guardians and school principal
- Initiate and maintain communication with students, parents and administrators on a regular basis to facilitate academic growth
- Attend parent/teacher conferences and professional training opportunities as required/needed
- Administer required testing
- Implement individualized student success plans
- Other duties assigned by Success Center Principal and/or Superintendent
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Appropriate State of Ohio certification/license reflective of grades 7-12
- BCI/FBI clearance
- Extensive content area knowledge and various teaching methodologies
- Ability to communicate ideas, directives and academic feedback clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Variable technology use (i.e. computer, telephone, learning management system)
- Ability to stay up-to-date with new technology
- Highly motivated and able to successfully attend to the needs of students with little direction
