DUTIES60�havior SupportProvides behavioral consultation to teams under the guidance of the Behavioral Support CoordinatorWorks with individuals at home, school, residential, or vocational setting.Works with support staff to implement behavioral strategies developed in collaboration with Fairfield DD Behavior Support Coordinators.Assist with training of staff in best-practice methods.Collects observational data, organizes, and tracks behavioral patterns in accordance with an individual’s service plan (ISP) and communicates those needs to others who support the individual.Documents behavioral progress and demonstrates to the support staff how to do the same.Stabilizes individuals in sometimes difficult situations, and coordinates with Behavior Support Coordinator to tweak interventions as needed to accommodate observed needs of the individual.Fades from the environment when stabilization has occurred, and all staff training and coaching is complete for the individual and staff to be successful. Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines.Works in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support each individual on their case load. Participates in meetings which may include individuals, their families, support staff, and perhaps guardians and other individuals as needed. Effectively communicates the need for behavioral supports and recommends interventions that may prove to be effective. 35%TrainingFacilitates Relationship class Training for individuals, families, and supports on interpersonal, relationships, technology, and community related topics.Provides presentations and information concerning the Board, department and work unit in accordance with Board philosophy and mission.
