What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board of Elections Senior Election Official position at Fairfield County Ohio?
Fairfield County Board of Elections (“Board”) is seeking a full time (40 hours per week with extended hours during election time) Senior Election Official, that is a registered Democratic voter.
Ensures high quality services at an exceptional value to taxpayers.
Securing contracts for polling location rentalRecruitment, and training of poll workers
Furthers the mission of Fairfield County and the Board of Elections by providing exemplary service to the public.
Adheres to Board, County, and Ohio Secretary of State Policies and procedures.
Secures contracts for polling location rental, recruitment, and training of poll workers, drivers, and rovers.
Schedules and conducts inspections of polling locations to ensure they meet ADA compliance.
Ensures all polling locations are fully staffed on Election Day.
Implements voter outreach programs.
Maintains all poll worker and polling place records.
Ensures compliance with records retention schedules, requests, and related correspondence.
Orders and monitors inventory of polling place supplies.
Must be a registered Democratic voter.
A valid Ohio Driver's License.
A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
An associates or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A willingness and ability to speak in public; strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills; data entry skills; ability to perform some physical labor when handling election equipment and supplies; ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with strong problem-solving, organizational skills, and an eye for detail;
must always exhibit a professional demeanor; and knowledge of election processes is a plus.

Salary : $45,780 - $50,662
