Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those needing memory care.
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment by monitoring client well-being and reporting any changes in condition.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, independence, and skill development.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience in home health, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and strategies for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Ability to perform meal preparation and assist with nutritional needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- A background in nursing or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and organized environment for clients.
- First aid certification is beneficial; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
