Home Health Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for patients, including those requiring hospice care and memory care.

Duties

• Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mobility and lifting patients safely.
• Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
• Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient status and needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus.
• Experience in memory care settings is beneficial.
• Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength, including lifting patients safely.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
