CLASSROOM TEACHER
VOCATIONAL AG, GRADES 9-12
2025-2026 School Year
This is a 12-month teaching position with overnight travel required. Ideal candidate will have vocational ag certification with an emphasis in horticulture. Supervision of animal projects and showing is required.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies
and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements - Vocational Ag with emphasis in horticulture
- Valid Texas career and technical education certificate with required license, endorsements and training for subject and level
assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the career and technical education subject area assigned
- CDL or willingness to obtain
- Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences
