We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Laundry Attendant to join our team at Fairfield Inn and Suites Muskegon Norton Shores. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry while maintaining high cleanliness and efficiency standards. This role ensures that all laundry operations run smoothly to support the hotel’s commitment to providing a comfortable and clean environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hotel linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning detergents and chemicals per safety guidelines.
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, and damage, and report any issues to management.
- Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Monitor laundry supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory control and tracking linen usage.
- Provide exceptional service when handling guest laundry requests, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a warm environment.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Must be able to follow safety guidelines and handling procedures for cleaning chemicals.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
