What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance position at Fairfield Inn Lincoln Airport?
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for building and grounds/parking lot maintenance and janitorial work in the hotel's common areas. This position will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting spaces, and common areas. The Maintenance Technician will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to take direction.
Essential Job Functions:
Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from the supervisor
Cleans internal areas of buildings, including sweeping and mopping
Maintains cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and parking lot
Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup every day
Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks
Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses, ETC
Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and records, such as maintenance
Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment, or arrange repairs.
Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies
Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and recording as stated by State and City regulations. Must be Pool certified or willing to become pool certified.
