HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tacoma Puyallup is seeking a Housekeeping Manager Supervisor to join our team. The Housekeeping Manager directs operations of the housekeeping department, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and ensuring quality service to achieve overall guest satisfaction and maintenance of hotel assets. Full-time

SCHEDULE :

Variable schedule; Must be available weekends and holidays

RATE OF PAY :

23.08 to $25.55 / DOE

QUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge of :

Housekeeping standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.

Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Skills and Ability to :

Determine supply and demand.

Analyze activities and information to arrive at logical conclusions.

Meet quality standards for service.

Communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing to convey information effectively.

Adapt to constantly changing situations and personalities ensuring quality service to all guests.

Maintain decorum in stressful situations.

Work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel, including evenings, weekends and holidays and maintain availability via cell phone.

Establish and maintain effective professional, courteous, constructive relationships with guests, staff and management team.

Successfully hire, train and motivate staff.

Limited travel may be required.

Education and Experience :

Four years progressively responsible experience in housekeeping supervisory / management experience required or equivalent combination of experience and education.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Medium Work : Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and / or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to hear, stand, stoop, bend, climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, and have a keen sense of visual acuity. Position requires occasional pushing and pulling of carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., ability to exert well-paced mobility for extended periods and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
