As a Hotel Maintenance Tech at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlotte Uptown, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing prompt maintenance support. You will help maintain and repair various aspects of the hotel, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. The Hotel Maintenance will maintain the preventive maintenance and upkeep of guestrooms, F&B and public space areas. The Hotel Maintenance Technician must maintain a safe working environment throughout the hotel by providing an attractive, clean and well‐maintained property. This position will require open availability to cover both first and second shift in addition to weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks in guest rooms, common areas, and equipment.
- Perform repairs and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance.
- Inspect and maintain the hotel's physical appearance, including painting, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with guests.

Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks.
