What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott?
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Fabricate and install parts as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Respond to maintenance requests from customers in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and control logic controllers
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train other maintenance staff
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Note: Previous experience in a maintenance role is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
