The MaintenanceTechnician will work in our Hotel Department which includes, but is not limited to: lobby, cloakroom, public areas, public lands, and guest rooms.
Qualifications
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must have the ability to understand, read, write and speak English and communicate with guests and Team Members of other departments.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions given.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to work without constant supervision.
The employee frequently is required to walk, climb or balance, talk and hear.
May be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pound
A high school education or equivalent is required.
Must be able to work in team environment.
What You'll Do in Your Day-To-Day Career Hours

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the hotel's facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment to ensure everything is in proper working order.
- Diagnose and repair any malfunctions or breakdowns in the hotel's infrastructure, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing faulty wiring, and addressing other maintenance-related problemS.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize the risk of equipment failures and ensure the longevity of the hotel's assets.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Identify and rectify any potential safety hazards within the hotel premises.
- Respond promptly to any maintenance emergencies, such as power outages, plumbing issues, or other urgent repairs that may arise and require immediate attention.
- Attend to maintenance requests from guests, including issues with lighting, heating, cooling, and plumbing in guest rooms to ensure a comfortable stay.
- Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment inventory. Order necessary parts and materials to maintain an adequate stock for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with other hotel staff, including housekeeping and front desk, to ensure smooth coordination and address any maintenance-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and equipment serviced. Document any recurring issues and provide reports as needed.
- Assist with general upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel's facilities, including landscaping, painting, and other minor maintenance tasks as required.
Experience:
- Houseman: 6 months (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
