- A bartender is responsible mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests of the bar and service bar, following standard recipes and the company’s policies; merchandises drinks; and is attentive to guests, making them feel welcome, at all times.
- Takes guests' food and drink orders and delivers those orders to the guests' table ensuring correctness and quality of the order.
- Operates P.O.S. system, enters orders, accepts payment, makes change correctly,and accurately conducts credit card transactions
- Memorizes bar food and drink menu in order to make appropriate beverage and food recommendations to guests and up-sells items.
- Maintains glassware and utensils and prepares all garnishes for daily operation.
- Operates within full compliance of state liquors laws, regulations, health codes, and sanitation guidelines.
- Follows recipes to prepare beverages such as liquor, cocktails, and other drinks.
- Resolves minor issues as they arise with guests' orders.
- Adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and is able to successfully “slow down a guest” or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary.
- Provides guest service according to Fairfield by Marriott standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Fairfield by Marriott Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Fairfield by Marriott attendance requirements as outlined in attendance policies.
- Adheres to the Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.*

We're Looking For:
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Prior bar-tending experience or schooling strongly needed
- Ability to memorize complete bar menu.
- Ability to become TIPS/Serv Safe certification.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Food Handler cards are required in some states.
The hotel work environment:
- The hotel business operates 24 / 7 / 365. There is no guaranteed shift or schedules. There may be times that you will need to move to different shifts or different work areas to accommodate our guests.
