Role Responsibilities:
Reliability is key: You are often the sole attendant scheduled, so if you typically call-out for a shift every other week, this is not the right position for you.
As a Breakfast Attendant you are responsible to give our guests the best hospitality experience they can have by:
> Maintaining a clean dining room, service area and food and beverage outlet.
> Provide professional, competent, and prompt service with attention to our guests' needs.
> Arrive to work in uniform with a smile and “Can-do” attitude
> Prepare the daily breakfast buffet selections according to the menu requirements.
> Restock food and supplies as needed to ensure consistent service
> Continuous cleaning of area to provide all guests the same experience regardless of their breakfast arrival time.
> Be knowledgeable on the general area and engage in conversation with guests on plans for the day.
> Be a source of information on area needs such as grocery shopping, post office, highways and entertainment
Communicate to management any guest concerns that need to be addressed
SUMMARY: Responsible for set-up, take down, and sanitation requirements of breakfast preparation for hotel guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Prepares/cooks food according to recipes
> Prepares food according to the menu and quantity needed for occupancy of hotel
> Maintains food, supply and equipment inventory weekly and orders as needed
> Greets guests and accommodates special requests as needed
> Maintains daily temperature and waste logs
> Receives, dates and examines food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet order requests and standard specifications
> Restocks food items during breakfast hours and cleans breakfast area, utensils and kitchens at the close of breakfast
> Follows company policies and procedures
> Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of three months hotel breakfast attendant experience or equivalent training and experience
Working Conditions:
Will be required to work mornings, weekends and holidays.
Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.
Frequent hand washing is required
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
Make decisions and solve problems in the interest of 100% guest satisfaction
Carefully monitors the operation of the F&B outlet and assists the manager in identifying and solving present and potential guest problems
Fairfield Inn And Suites operational policies and procedures, including safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees and guests during each shift
Maintains a clean and organized workspace
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
Engage with and understand our guests, including discovering and responding to guest needs through clear and pleasant communication
Comply with a dress code
Available to perform many different tasks within the hotel kitchen during each shift
