Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Attendant

Our hotel is seeking a friendly and outgoing Full Time Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Attendant to manage the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department! We are looking for someone with supervisory experience to ensure we maintain a high standard of room cleanliness, public area cleanliness, efficient operations in laundry and over all general cleanliness of the hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Stocking guest rooms with supplies in the trained method including but not limited to; cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up trash, changing linen, and making the bed.
  • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart.
  • Laundry and trash removal from the room, transport to laundry/dumpster, etc.
  • Maintain a welcoming and courteous demeanor in all interactions with guests and staff.
  • Ensures is compliant with and completion of all daily operations procedures and duties by the housekeeping department.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest room.
  • Proper cleaning of guest rooms ensuring the hotels established standards of service.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints.
  • Inspecting guest rooms to ensure proper cleanliness standards per Marriott are being maintained.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Required to conduct and follow CDC Guidelines and brand cleaning standards due to COVID-19. These high touch/high traffic public area cleaning standards include, however are not limited to the following:
  • Interior and exterior doors, handles, door frames in common areas including restrooms, storage rooms, fitness center, pool, and Market.
  • All public restrooms.
  • Front Desk counter tops, credit card machines and other surface areas.
  • Elevator cabs, inside and out, including buttons on landing areas.
  • Business Center computer, keyboard, mouse, printer, desks, and counter tops.
  • Fitness Room equipment, towel hamper, and any additional surface areas.
  • Pool and Patio Area chairs and tables, towel hamper, and any additional surface areas.

Position Experience and Requirements:

  • Ability to clean and scrub surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stopping to perform cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Work closely with maintenance department in identifying and following up on maintenance requests.
  • Responsible for departmental cost control including staying within hotel guidelines with labor productivity.
  • Ordering housekeeping supplies as required by the General Manager.

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • This hotel operates seven (7) days a week and twenty- four (24) hours per day. All employees both management and hourly must realize this fact and be willing to hold a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
