Paraprofessional – Art Instruction
2025-2026 School Year
Intermediate Campus, Grades 3-5
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated competency in the area of general art ability
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILTIES AND DUTIES
Prepare instructional materials and provide classroom instruction independently- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through testing and grading
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct
- Establish and maintain open communication with students, principals, teachers and
parents.
- Others duties as assigned.
