Job Description:
Experienced short order grill cook needed to cook limited breakfast menu and lunch menu (new). Omelets, burrittos, eggs to order, burgers, grilled chicken, sandwiches, etc. are some of the menu items. There will also be a daily special grill item that the grill; cook will have a hand in deciding. Schedule is Mon - Fri 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with alternating weekends.
Prepares and cooks food for Center patients, employees and visitors. Follows all relevant regulatory agency guidelines for food safety and sanitation. All the duties and standards within this job description will be performed according to the established policies, procedures and guidelines outlined in the department and Center policy and procedures manuals. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Service Safe Certification preferred.
Job-related Skills: Minimum of 2 years of institutional cooking experience in a fast paced, high volume production kitchen. Ability to follow standardized recipes and meet food production schedules. Ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients. Has knowledge of the clinical interventions and equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Good communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, other Center employees, the medical staff, patients, families, and the general public.
