About this Role:
We are seeking a Dental Receptionist Coordinator looking to add to our wonderful team! This role must be a professional individual must be outgoing, friendly, responsible and radiant with a positive attitude. The dental receptionist coordinator must be a person who takes initiative and acknowledges that they will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This team member must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, provide excellent customer service and support dental office tasks to ensure the dental office is operating efficiently and creates a pleasant environment for patients. This person must be well-organized with great attention to detail, able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. Preference given to someone who has at least 3 years experience in the dental field, and is able to multitask, knows how to verify insurance, knowledge of ADA codes. Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers in the dental office by greeting and checking-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Support all Patient experience matters
- Coordinate all insurance verification for patients and claim tracing
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Prepare and clean/disinfect the rooms for hygienist and dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Answer phone calls (handle high call volumes), schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with immediate proper communication documentation
- Verify insurance information, insurance coverage, collect copayments and collect necessary patient information
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of all data
- Coordinate with dental office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Keep dental office clean, neat and inviting throughout the day
- Patient check in and check out, take payments, confirm financial arrangements
- Check messages throughout the day
- Import personal information from NP questionnaire into chart
- Send referrals out by end of day
- Scheduling patients for their chosen treatment with an ideal practice flow in mind
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns
- Coordinate all recalls and rescheduled appointments
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience/Requirements:
- Required 3 years of proven dental experience with dental software and terminology.
- Proven experience in: Dental office environment, insurance verification, dental practice web software.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with excellent people skills
- Attention to detail and ready to learn
- Well-organized ,reliable and team player
- Spanish speaker preferred
