What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center?
Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is a retirement community committed to providing our residents and staff with the upmost dignity and respect. We have served the community for 55 years, and we pride ourselves on the care that we have provided.
We are seeking part-time Dietary Aides to assist with our meal services. The ideal candidate loves working with older people and works well independently and as a team player.
Schedule:
- 4PM - 8PM (until service is complete - 15-20 hours per week)
General Job Duties:
- Assembles meals and supplements for residents
- Performs dishwashing duties
- Assists with general clean up duties
Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, grab, push, and pull
- Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to use arms and hands with dexterity
- Ability to communicate in a friendly manner to residents and coworkers in English.
- Ability to read and understand directions in the English language.
- Ability to show warmth, love and compassion to make residents feel comfortable.
