Laundry Attendant
Reports to: Facilities Operations Manager
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Classification: Hourly/Non-exempt
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Knowledge of how to maintain, clean and preserve a wide variety of buildings and furniture, fixtures and equipment surfaces.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies; use as directed.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Friendly, reliable, and take pride in a job well done.
- Wash, iron, press, and fold linens.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Look at all linens and treat any stains that you find.
- Place all laundry in washer and add cleaning agents as directed.
- Take out towels and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are in stock and indicate any shortages to the Facilities Operations Manager.
- Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the Facilities Operations Manager.
- Attend departmental staff meetings and safety meetings.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending,
stooping and climbing. - Use ladders when required.
- Potential to expose the employee to human blood or infectious materials; appropriate personal protective equipment, PPE, must be worn.
- Exposure to loud noise level, chemicals (e.g., bleach), dampness and high temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment, PPE, must be worn.
- Continuous standing and walking.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associates may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
