We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and safety standards.
- Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils.
- Support the dietary department by organizing food supplies and inventory management.
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any resident needs or preferences.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for various health conditions.
- Assist with special events or functions as needed within the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably within a hospital or assisted living environment.
- Knowledge of food production processes and dietary department operations is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy meal periods.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing compassionate service to residents.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items as needed, and perform various kitchen tasks.
- Certification in food handling or safety is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
