Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, urgent care facilities, and memory care units. The STNA will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Support patients with catheter care and other specialized medical needs as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to anatomy knowledge and infectious disease care.
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with a commitment to providing compassionate care.
- Knowledge of anatomy to ensure proper assistance during patient care activities.
- Experience in ICU or urgent care settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
- Experience in memory care facilities is beneficial for understanding the unique needs of patients with cognitive impairments.
- Proficiency in catheter care techniques to support patients requiring this level of assistance.
- Understanding of infectious disease protocols to maintain safety standards within healthcare settings.
