  • Bring your talents to the heart of WV! This facility is seeking a Stepdown / Med Surg travel RN for a 13 week contract assignment.

    • Job Requirements

  • Stepdown experience
  • ACLS

    • Schedule Information

  • 12hr shifts
  • 3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks schedule
  • Rotate / eve or day holiday requirement

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit : Stepdown / Med Surg
  • of beds : 20
  • Ratios : Stepdown 1 : 3 and Floor 1 : 5-6
  • Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Resp issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, chest pain
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes
  • Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, aminodarone
  • Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : House Supervisor
  • Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios : Yes, 2 per shift
  • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) : RT cpap, bipap, high flow
  • Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes, monitored at Ruby
  • Unit / Department specific orientation : yes
  • Scrub Color / Dress Code : Royal blue
