Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering / Assistant Director of Engineering. The Engineer III Mechanic main responsibility is the maintenance and operations of the buildings central systems. (HVAC, AHU’S, Pumps, Motors, Hot water heaters, Chillers)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Daily rounds inspecting all plant equipment; maintaining up-to-date records on efficiency of equipment. Malfunctions or repairs needs to be noted and reported to the management team.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and guest rooms as scheduled.
- Accurate record log keeping on (meters, kitchen walk-in-boxes, ice machines, water fountains and fan coil unit filter changes).
- Appropriate response and prioritization of 15 minutes or less to all guest calls, other departments and team members requiring maintenance repairs from the Engineering department.
- Ensure proper storage of all hazardous chemicals adhering to OSHA Standards.
- Ensure the proper care and use of all Engineering equipment including all safety related procedures used when operating this equipment. This includes MSDS and loc-out / tag-out procedures.
- Ensure proper training of Fire and Life Safety Systems and emergency Shut-Off Valves in the hotel.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
