What You Will Be Doing :
- Manage the recruitment process, ensuring effective and timely hiring with the ability to think creatively in the recruitment of colleagues and a dedication to selecting the best.
- Handle any employee and labor relations situations in conjunction with department management and Talent & Culture policies
- Support other Talent & Culture related activities and services including training, employee engagement and events, diversity and inclusion, health & safety, compensation, benefits and payroll administration.
- Foster and promote positive colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust and mutual respect.
- Create, organize and implement employee activities, engagement programs and diversity initiatives
- Assist in the investigation of claims or concerns brought forward covering ethics, discrimination and social responsibility
- Facilitate training programs and have a strong comfort level with speaking in front of an audience. Programs include orientations, policy training and service culture training
- Assist with the daily administration of the Talent & Culture Office including filing, onboarding and offboarding, tracking of training, completion of employee forms, turnover and other reporting
- Ensure that both internal and external guests are provided with high standards of service and that all Talent & Culture core standards are adhered to.
- Ensure all Accor and Fairmont processes and polices are followed and in compliance with the Talent & Culture audit requirements
- Act as an internal consultant to provide coaching and direction on policies, company programs, employment and labor relations, compensation, benefits and employment standards.
- Ensure the Talent & Culture department complies with all corporate, regional and hotel policies and procedures; and governmental regulations pertaining to all colleagues.
- Act as a chair / co-chair for the Health & Safety and Recognition committees
- Assume duties of Director, Talent & Culture in their absence
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Be a role model within the hotel and demonstrate professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of our culture.
