Summary and Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Billing Coordinator. This position is crucial for day-to-day operations and candidates will be primarily focused on Private Pay and Medicaid billing. The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to develop efficiencies. This position requires you to be on-site, giving you the opportunity to work closely with our staff, residents, and resident families.

Employment Qualifications of Billing Coordinator:
Communicates professionally with staff, residents, families, and other stakeholdersDemonstrates critical problem-solving and appropriate independent decision-making abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Knowledge of accounts receivable is a plus – but we’re willing to train the right candidate.Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature in order to meet deadlines proficiently.Maintains a positive attitude and actively promotes good communication using the English language.Demonstrates a strong teamwork attitude in order to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment, to cooperate and resolve conflicts, and to recognize needs and be sensitive to others.Supports the mission, philosophy, policies, changes and values of Fairmount.Office 365 experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Billing Coordinator:
Complete daily and monthly reporting which includes census, board report requests, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care. Setup and configure Point Click Care to ensure accurate invoicing and reportingMaintain resident account information such as census and rates, contacts, and insurance informationPrepare, post, verify and record customer and insurance payments to resident accounts, including EFT batchesPrepare invoices, statements and collection letters Private Pay accounts Import and enter ancillary charges into Point Click CareManage and complete Medicaid applications and renewalsManage and create Custom Pay agreementsUpdate and maintain tracking logs used by the Billing DepartmentCompletes monthly A/R closings including Balancing accounts, reviewing aging reports, and verifying balancesAssist with preparation of Audit DocumentationPrepare Cash Deposits as requested by Billing Manager or CFOAssist in insurance billing once cross-trainedPerforms other duties as required by facility needs
