What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVS Attendant position at Fairmount Park?
Summary: Cleans and services assigned area according to performance and safety standards to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Keep all public and designated back of the house areas free of debris. (i.e. glasses, bottles, cans, paper, etc.)
- Clean and sanitize storage and public areas in casino and surrounding property area
- Polish all metal surfaces
- Vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and general cleaning of all public and back of the house areas in the casino
- Sweep and mop stairwells
- Clean vending areas
- Advise Director of Properties know of any shortages that need ordering (chemicals, equipment, etc.)
- Refill chemical stations and bottles
- Clean all glass surfaces
- Complete any extra duties as per management or supervisor
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with Hazardous Material/MSDS procedures and OSHA requirements
- Ability to communicate and maintain a high level of courtesy with casino and race track patrons
- Desire and willingness to learn
- Communication skills
- Ability to communicate with Team members and guests
- Ability to be a TEAM player
- Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing with Illinois Gaming Board
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk
- Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds
- Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel
- Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor
- Exposure to high noise level
