Job Summary: As a Scoreboard Electronics Repair Technician at Fair Play Corporation, you will play a vital role in maintaining the exceptional performance of our electronic scoreboards. Your expertise in component-level troubleshooting and surface mount soldering will be essential in diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly, ensuring our scoreboards deliver accurate and reliable information during games and events. Responsibilities:
Scoreboard Troubleshooting: Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on electronic scoreboards to identify and rectify technical malfunctions, such as display anomalies, connectivity issues, and other electronic faults.
Component-Level Repair: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of electronic components and circuits to identify faulty parts and replace them, ensuring the seamless functionality of the scoreboards.
Surface Mount Soldering: Expertly conduct precise soldering on small surface mount devices (SMDs) and electronic components to establish secure connections and restore optimal performance.
Quality Control: Conduct rigorous testing and quality checks on repaired scoreboards to guarantee they meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and durability.
Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, including parts used, testing procedures, and outcomes, to contribute to our knowledge base and improve future troubleshooting efforts.
Collaboration with Production Team: Work closely with the production and engineering teams to provide valuable insights from repair experiences and contribute to ongoing product improvement initiatives.
Health and Safety: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines when working with electronic equipment and hazardous materials.
Customer Support: Collaborate with our customer support team to address technical inquiries and provide assistance in troubleshooting scoreboard issues at customer locations, if required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electronics Repair Technician or an Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems, preferably scoreboards or related display systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and service manuals specific to scoreboard electronics.
- Demonstrated experience in soldering small surface mount devices (SMDs) and electronic components, ensuring reliable connections and effective repairs.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and their functionalities, particularly as they relate to electronic scoreboards.
- Familiarity with testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously to achieve precise repairs.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex electronic faults efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, customers, and support staff.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
