This role will begin with hands-on training at our factory, where you will learn our products by assisting in the assembly and testing of scoreboards and video displays before transitioning to field service work.
Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician will begin their journey at our factory, gaining in-depth knowledge of our products by assisting in the assembly, testing, and quality control of scoreboards and LED displays. After the training period, the technician will transition to traveling to various locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair these systems. This role requires a hands-on, technically skilled individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Training Phase (Factory):
- Assist in the assembly and construction of scoreboards and LED displays.
- Participate in testing and quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards.
- Learn the technical details, components, and functionality of Fair-Play’s products.
- Shadow experienced technicians and engineers to gain hands-on knowledge.
- Develop a strong understanding of electrical systems, control software, and mechanical components.
Field Service Phase (Post-Training):
- Travel to client sites to install, inspect, maintain, and repair scoreboards and LED displays.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Provide on-site training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of scoreboards and LED displays.
- Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner.
- Manage travel logistics, including scheduling, accommodations, and expense reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in field service, electronics repair, or a similar technical role is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, LED technology, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% travel post-training).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scoreboards, LED displays, or sports equipment.
- Familiarity with networking and software systems used in display technology.
- OSHA or other safety certifications.

Pay: $29.00 per hour
