Job Summary:

The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting sheet metal scoreboards, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet specifications. This is a full-time position within the Paint Department, and the ideal candidate will have experience in painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation, particularly with sheet metal or similar materials. The Painter will report directly to the Paint and Vinyl Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sheet metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers.
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures for scoreboard finishes.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to sheet metal scoreboards using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
• Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals or working with sheet metal.
• Collaborate with the Paint and Vinyl Manager and team members to complete projects on time.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a painter, particularly with sheet metal or industrial materials, preferred.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials, especially for metal surfaces.
• Ability to mix and match colors accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing or production environment.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or production facility with exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and dust.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
