Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. In this role, you will assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that orders are placed accurately, suppliers are managed efficiently, and inventory levels are maintained. You will play a crucial part in supporting the Purchasing Manager and contributing to the smooth and cost-effective operation of our organization’s supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for goods and services.
- Place and track orders with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of order details.
- Communicate with suppliers to address any issues regarding delivery schedules, pricing discrepancies, and product quality.
- Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders and related documents.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Support the purchasing team with general administrative tasks, such as filing, reporting, and data entry.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of purchasing software and systems (ERP) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
