We are seeking a skilled Network/Telecom Specialist to join our Network Field Services team on a 6-month contract basis located in Raleigh, NC. This on-site role offers a competitive W-2 rate of up to $40/hour and requires U.S. citizenship or a Green Card, with preference for candidates currently residing in the Raleigh area.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation of CAT5/6 network cabling (80%) and fiber optic cabling, along with IP camera systems and network switch installations (20%).
- Travel throughout the state to install physical infrastructure for NCDOT and NCDMV facilities.
- Engage in the termination and testing of CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform installations in varied environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and office settings.
- Adhere to travel requirements, including early departures and potential overnight stays for remote office work.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in CAT5/6 network cable installation, termination, and testing.
- At least 3 years of experience in fiber optic cable installation, termination, splicing, and testing.
- Familiarity with Cisco switches and IP camera installations is a valuable addition.
- Proven experience in network cabling installation and maintenance is essential.
- Ability to adapt to diverse work conditions and work independently.
- Technical certifications in networking or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
