We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Architect for a one-year contract role, offering a remote working arrangement to support the State of North Carolina. This position mandates U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card, and focuses on utilizing your expertise in Azure Cloud and NetAPP to assist the Infrastructure Section with various projects and configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Infrastructure team by setting up Azure environments to optimize the Department of Environment Quality’s (DEQ) operations.
- Collaborate with the Department of Information and Technology and Microsoft Azure Support Teams on the design and implementation of critical infrastructure components.
- Create customer-owned environments, develop images, and establish VNet and VPN gateways.
- Set up Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) machines based on customized images.
- Implement Intune for the management of VDI machines, assigning resources and grouping them according to distinct zones.
- Document the DevOps environment and ensure proper rights are established.
- Share knowledge and conduct training sessions with team members during periods of downtime.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud and NetAPP technologies.
- Familiarity with MS Dynamic CRM is advantageous.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and VNet configurations.
- A solid background in cloud architecture and experience managing infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise with Azure and NetAPP technologies.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
