Key Responsibilities
- Assist the GIS Coordination Program Manager in the planning, development, and evaluation of Council policies and strategies.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to six subcommittees.
- Offer technical assistance to working groups for effective project execution.
- Craft charters, technical reports, updates, minutes, and framework dataset schemas with a focus on clarity and precision.
- Research and propose technical solutions while updating geospatial datasets.
- Develop engaging online content, including applications and websites, to support the initiatives of working groups and committees.
- Utilize scripting or automation tools to compile data from various sources and ensure quality checks on data before publication.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online tools, including Experience Builder, StoryMaps, and Survey123.
- Exceptional written communication skills for producing technical documentation and content.
- Ability to research technical solutions and create/update geospatial datasets effectively.
- Experience in creating online content and applications.
- Strong attention to detail, especially for data quality assurance processes.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in GIS project support or related responsibilities is preferred.
