Senior Technology Consulting Systems Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Consulting Systems Consultant to join our team, providing exceptional on-site support to clients in the Boston area. This role demands a candidate who is dedicated to working directly with clients, delivering technical expertise across networking, mobility, virtualization, security, and cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, white-glove service directly at the desktop level.
• Provide expert guidance to clients on various technical domains including networking, mobility, virtualization, security, and cloud solutions.
• Assess, recommend, and implement innovative technologies to enhance client operations.
• Upgrade existing infrastructure to guarantee optimal network performance, security, and availability.
• Formulate IT strategies that align with both current and future requirements based on industry standards and regulatory needs.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud architectures to ensure high operational resiliency.
• Exhibit the ability to adapt to diverse environments, maintain excellent follow-up practices, and produce detailed documentation.
• Participate in the creation of proposal content, conduct product research, and engage in sales meetings with potential clients as needed.
• Understand IT governance fundamentals to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strongly preferred certifications include Microsoft expert certification (Cloud technology), CISSP, CCSP, and other relevant industry credentials.
• Over 5 years of experience in maintaining and supporting various technology environments.
• Prior consulting experience is highly advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of operating platforms, connectivity, security, and information management.
• Fundamental understanding of advanced troubleshooting theories and practices.
• Extensive knowledge of the complete Microsoft SaaS cloud stack, including Microsoft 365, EMS, and Azure Active Directory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Azure IaaS services such as virtual machines, storage, networking, backup/site recovery, and security.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure PaaS platforms, including SQL databases, Azure App Services, and web application firewalls.
• Knowledge of on-premises technologies like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN.
• Experience with Systems Center is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and client management capabilities.
• Strong team player mentality with expertise in Microsoft back-office platforms.
• Proven hands-on experience with networking, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Knowledgeable in virtualization technologies, including VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills are essential.
