Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze construction physical progress data from field staff and relevant documentation, including RFIs and PCOs, to integrate into schedule updates.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain comprehensive CPM construction schedules, ensuring they are cost and resource-loaded as necessary.
- Review critical activities and float paths to create thorough progress update reports.
- Generate and comment on Differences Reports for project updates and maintain accuracy in P6 schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams for ongoing schedule updates, maintenance, and potential scenarios.
- Incorporate change management schedule subnets into construction schedules, perform analyses of schedule gains and losses, and prepare detailed reports for time extension requests.
- Conduct regular management reporting, identifying key controlling activities and developing recovery plans to address schedule delays.
- Lead look-ahead schedule planning meetings, ensuring effective communication with construction field staff.
- Participate in scheduling-related meetings to lead discussions and presentations.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and analysis.
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction principles and practices.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated with robust time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in construction scheduling, particularly in active projects.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is essential.
- Prior scheduling experience on heavy civil, highway, and rail transit projects is advantageous.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling systems, principles, and practices.
